How does it work?
You let me know when you’re going away and I will arrange a time to pop in and meet you, your pets, hand over the registration forms and veterinary medical release form. I can answer any questions you have and you can show me where all of your pet things are kept and tell me about your usual routine with your pets. At this point I collect a key from you and you can then relax knowing that your pets will be well cared for while you are away, alternatively you can use a key lock box on your property. Once you are back in your home I will return the key to you. For subsequent visits there will be a charge to pick up/drop off your key.
How much time do you spend with my cat/pet?
Visits are around 30 mins if they are in, however you can book in for longer if you would like me to spend more quality time with your pets.
I have more than one pet, does it cost more?
I do not charge per pet, I charge for the time I visit. Please ensure that the time you have booked is plenty enough to care for your pets.
How do I pay you?
Payment is to be made in advanced prior to my first service visit. Please use your Surname and Invoice number as reference.
What if my cat/small pet becomes ill or injured while I am away?
I will have the details of your pets veterinarian on file. In the unlikely event your pet needs immediate veterinary care I will contact your vet and take your pet there immediately. I will contact you as the earliest opportunity to notify you of the details.
Can you visit every two days instead?
This is not possible. I take my duty of care seriously and like to check up on your cats/animals at least once a day to check that the animal is healthy and well and to also address its social needs.
Do you feed dogs?
I only service cats and small animals at this time. The reason for this is that I like to go into peoples homes without smelling of dogs which can sometimes stress cats out.
I have chickens, can you visit them while i’m away?
Yes I have plenty of experience looking after chickens. I can change bedding, clean out the coop, collect eggs, fill up their food and water containers.
What do you do when you are at my property visiting my pets?
Once I have attended to their food, water, litter trays, I will actively engage your pet whilst i’m there. If they want to play I will play with them, if they want cuddles I will give them lots of fuss and attention.
What hours and days do you work?
I work 8am – 8pm, 7 days a week.
Do you label my keys and will they be safe?
Keys are kept in a secured lock system and are coded for client’s confidentiality. I will never label your keys with your address or personal details.
Is you vehicle sign written with your business branding?
No it is not. I keep my services discreet as possible and don’t like to advertise the fact that you are away from home.
I’m a bit concerned about letting a stranger in my home?
I totally understand that there may be some apprehension when trying a new service. I are more than happy to provide you with police checks, passport and driving licence if required.
Who visits my property?
Visits are undertaken by me Sami Saunders the owner of PetPals.
